  2. Recently there has been a rise in people choosing to pursue their education by choosing a digital route – that is online classes. These classes offer people the chance to study at their own pace from the convenient of their homes. Providing an Online Classroom of sorts for the students, these courses have over time acquired a reputation of being an “easy way out” of acquiring degrees. However, this is not true and today we are going to take a look at some of the myths surrounding these Online Classrooms and assess whether there is any truth in them.

  3. Myth # 1: • I can take as long as I want for completion of a course • Fact: Uh No! That is simply not true because similar to classroom based courses, online courses too have a time period for course completion

  4. Myth #2 • You have to do everything on your own • Fact: Again, that is not true. Apart from support of different sources, you are able to contact your instructor so that if you have any problems then you can sort them out.

  5. Myth #3 • You can procrastinate all you want • Fact: Actually various studies indicate that online courses success depends on the ability of students to be self directed and take responsibility for completing their assignments on time because there is no there to remind you so this it all comes down to excellent time management skills.

  6. Myth #4 • Online courses are an easy way out • Fact: Absolutely not! Students enrolled in online courses have to follow the same semester schedule, have definite time frames, due-dates and deadlines for their work and no, excuse of broken computers are not accepted.
