What is Currency? • A system of money in a country in circulation for exchange • Valuable items, such as coins, treasury notes, banknotes

Project Criteria • Portrait (center or off to either side of layout) • Building, location, or landmark (layered behind portrait) • Cultural symbol (overlapping transparency) • Name of country, currency and amount (repeat in corners or top and bottom) • Consistent theme: color scheme, typography • Authenticity: all elements are cohesive (use effects & adjustments to blend in)

Intro to Paint.NET • Create a project folder in your student ID folder • Open Paint.NET > File > Save > name “Practice” >Save file in project folder • Using Google Images, search for pictures that relate to your currency theme • Double click the image and save/drag to your project folder
