Framing- Because the edges of the plate are surrounding the focus.
Editing Techniques- Because no donut on Earth would even come close to looking like this (I inverted the colors, softened it, sharpened it, boosted it, etc.)
Rule of Thirds- Because the focus is not on a point on the grid.
Lighting- Because the focus is casting a shadow onto the plate.
Simplicity- The focus is just a plain donut, sitting on a plate.
Color- Because the focus is covered in pink, yellow, white, and brown.
Balance- Because both sides of the focus are semi-symmetrical.
