This workshop provides an update on the RCSLT Research and Development program, with a focus on the Champions Network. Research Champions Update • Started in 2013 as a group of 42 research-minded SLTs…to date we are now at 272. • Collaborated at 2 previous workshops • Set up specific networks in the nations • Increase in RCSLT resources and capacity to support role • Diverse representation- regionally, clinically, and academically

Clinical Academic Mentor Network • Link up with a clinical academic SLT with more experience, who is willing to offer some guidance and support. • For ‘one off’ advice or longer-term mentoring. • Being a mentor is excellent CPD. • Write a case study of your mentoring experience. • Application forms at the RCSLT stand! “It was great to speak to you last week.
