  2. Lessons learned • Capacity development is key for sustainability: • Trainings; • Workshops; • Study tours; • Mentors, etc • Follow-up: • Monitoring; • Evaluation; • Team work & participation are key for success;

Challenges faced • Lack of complete training data; • Inability to implement all planned training programs; • Repeated request for LTP support by PIs & woredas; • The TIU program was encountered with problems: • Delay of module distribution; • Change of tutorial centers; • in competency of tutors; • Dependency of students

  4. opportunities • SWHISA CD standard guideline; • Team work among SWHISA Experts; • PIs and Woredas give due consideration for capacity building activities (STT&LTP); • Assignment of SWHISA Experts in PIs

  5. Key Implementation Strategy • Conduct need-based training programs; • Submission of Training proposal ahead time; • Strengthening Team work at all levels; • Having quality of training data; • Monitoring and Evaluation; • Impact assessment

  6. Major Challenges of the 5th Year • High demand for LTP by PIs and woredas; • High turnover of personnel at any levels; • Training plans may not be implemented; • Late submission of training proposal; • Loose team work.
