This project focuses on the deployment and operation of McLane and Kiel time series traps at various depths, including 18-20m, 30m, and 120m, to study marine snow dynamics. Incorporating advanced technologies like RDI 300kHz ADCPs and dual acoustic releases, the traps are designed to collect and analyze glass spheres as proxies for marine snow. The rig is anchored with a 1000kg weight for stability in marine environments. This study aims to enhance our understanding of oceanic biological processes and sediment transport.
