    1. Industrial Revolution Assignment Understanding that the Industrial Revolution introduced many new inventions that were used to improve production, manufacture and farming you are asked to either create your own mechanical invention or improve an existing one. I suggest you ask me questions about whether you device makes sense to create. Minimum Requirements You must have an image or sketch of your mechanical device [using color would be helpful]. You must provide a detailed written explanation telling why you decided to invent or improve the device. You must have a detailed set of directions explaining the purpose of your device, how it works and how it will improve the lives of people who use it.

    2. Rubric 33 points-Detail of image or sketch (you should have all parts/sections of your invention specifically labeled so person reading labels knows what all parts do and how they work. 33 points-Your explanation should explain very clearly and explicitly the 3-5 reasons why you invented your item from scratch or improved the existing item (should be 3-5 paragraphs minimum). 33 points-Your explanations/directions of the item’s purpose, method of operation (how it works) and how it will transcend/improve lives should be very clear and obvious to the reader. It is not required that people agree with you but all of the explanations/directions above should be very clear and understandable.
