  2. An update:- Three years ago, the membership of the profession decided on a fresh approach to education. More specialist More choice More focussed More up to date More ……….. Sit Down There and I’ll Examine You

  3. ….. health and care (what this Conference demanded) Two exams will now form part of the new education structure (300 and 400 paper two) A joint effort by the H&C ECPD Committee, by the Strategy Implementation Committee and by a fresh young staff actuary, produced the two syllabuses last year. These are on the Profession’s website Please view and comment Sit Down There and I’ll Examine You

  4. Feverish activity has produced a nearly complete set of Core Reading to support the two syllabuses. Thanks to H&C ECPD, FSA, ActEd and others for invaluable contributions This is not available yet but let me know ….. Our beloved H&C modules may be the victim of this success Sit Down There and I’ll Examine You

  5. We have an exam team: Adrian Gallop is Principal Examiner. Bob Plumb and Bill Baker are Senior Examiners We need more: to prepare exams in advance We need more: to mark exams after the event. Names of volunteers would be most welcome Sit Down There and I’ll Examine You

The timetable from here:- Syllabuses signed off by 31 December 2003 Sample exam questions ready by 31 March 2004 Core Reading signed off by 31 May 2004 First ActEd courses available from 1 September 2004 The two sets of 2005 exam papers signed off by 31 December 2004 First ever Health and Care exam papers to be sat April 2005.
