Emulsion Formation Using Submersible Rotary-Disk Mixers

Tests conducted by Sergey Laponov and Alexander Erushonkov revealed that a submersible low-volume rotary-disk mixer can effectively produce high-quality emulsions in tanks. By passing the entire container volume through the apparatus five times, a high-quality emulsion can be achieved. Submersible rotary-disc mixers are suitable for mixing reaction mixtures and maintaining a developed phase contact surface for extended periods.

  4. Summary As tests have shown, a submersible low-volume rotary-disk mixer can be used to create and maintain a high-quality emulsion in a tank. The dependences affecting the process of emulsification of the submersible design of the mixer have been established. It was experimentally determined that in order to create a high-quality emulsion, it is necessary to pass the entire volume of the container through the apparatus five times. Submersible rotary disc mixers can be used in reaction apparatuses for mixing the reaction mixture and maintaining a developed phase contact surface for a long time.
