  • Received Master’s Degree in Reading Education from Nazareth College

  • Beginning my 25th year as an Intervention specialist
  • Beginning my 12th year at LaMuth
  • Taught high school for 13 years prior to coming to LaMuth

Language Arts
  • Read, Read, Read!! This year in class, we will emphasize extensive choice reading. Students will read more than ever before! Our class anchor novels are The Outsiders (Hinton), Fever: 1793 (Anderson).
  • We will be using the Daily 3 format.
    • “The more that you read, the more that you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you’ll go.”
      • -Dr. Seuss
      • Write, Write, Write!
      • This year, we will also work on improving our writing skills by using better vocabulary, proper grammar, and strengthening our overall ability.
      • We will be using The Write Tools for our writing assignments.
