  2. Key Features of Service • Full Colorectal Cancer service at all the four (going to three) sites in the region • Diagnostics • Treatment • Network referral pathways for TEMS and liver/lung resection

Key Achievements • Incorporated Anal MDT into Lister Colorectal MDT in October 2011 • Enhanced Recovery Programme (ERP) for elective colorectal patients has been established at Watford. • Undertook review of liver mets pathway • Increased surgical capacity at L&D • Liaison with ECRIC re Data quality

  4. Key Achievements (2) • Bowel Cancer Awareness Campaign • Were first part of national pilot then national campaign • Produced Bowel Cancer Film for GP Education and GP resource kit • Colorectal Cancer Quilt produced • NCIN Service Profiles • Macmillan GP linked to NSSG

  6. Some Challenges • Complete data collection of the COSD • Develop a local TEMS service • Attendance of RF liver surgeons at MDTs • E&N Herts to amalgamate their 2 MDTs • Endoscopy capacity, • given public awareness campaigns • Age extension for screening

  7. Priorities of the Future • Review and update clinical guidelines • Working more closely as a network

  8. Finally…. • Discussions around colorectal services in SE Midlands Will this have an impact on our Network?
