  2. RFQ PIP Status • RFQ injector is connected to Linac Tank 1

  3. Beam has been sent to end of RFQ 43 mA of H- beam has been transmitted to the end of the RFQ (60 mA at source @ 71% transmission efficiency)

  4. RFQ Plans • MEBT tasks • Align MEBT • Attach power, RF and water to MEBT • Condition Buncher • Plans for beam to NTF • Beam commissioning during Thanksgiving week. • Must finish commissioning by 04 Dec because of NTF patient treatment schedule. (NTF may extend schedule by 1 week to 10 Dec)

  5. RFQ Project Timeline 4 years from concept to realization. We are near the finish line!

  6. Linac PIP Status Highlights Linac Utilities • MCC upgrade • expected to be complete this week. • collaboration with AD/MSD and AD/EE support • Vacuum • two new blowers received and installed (DTL 1 & 2 vacuum section and DTL 5) complete • A0 dewar repair complete • 400 MeV beam valves ordered (waiting delivery) Instrumentation • receiving partial deliver new PCB boards • all new NIM crates and cables installed in all 5 different locations. 200 MHz RF power system • Effort continues on Marx Modulators in collaboration with SLAC for FY13. • SLAC proposes engineering study to build lower voltage two cell prototype for design testing $75k. • FNAL has started the design of a lower voltage 10 cell modulator prototype ($40k materials + labour)

  7. Booster PIP Status • Booster solid state (SS) conversion status • 10 out of 19 are SS • Driver racks are being cabled in the west gallery • Three cavities have been refurbished: 5, 7, 8 • BRF6 beginning cavity testing at MI60 • LCW work at CUB is done. Water is circulating
