  1. SCHOOL CC00000 COUNCIL NEWSLETTER Summer 2012-13

  2. Our successes The full academic year has been a great success, the school councillors have made many great changes to the school, whilst making decisions and differences. The three terms have passed quickly, we raised an amazing £ 2,877.69 Our successes include red nose day, wrong trouser day and red and green day.

  3. Autumn Term In the autumn term we: Put up an information board with all the councillors pictures on and boughtschool council shirts to raise profile of the councillors. We organised a cake sale for Children In Need and everyone dressed up. We raised £634.50 The councillors decided on the raffle prizes for the Christmas Bazar, met with the Harrisons supervisor Ricky to find out how much nutritional value is in each meal. We raised a total amount in the autumn term of £732.30

  4. Spring Term In the spring Term: Zak, the vice chair met the Reception and Year 1 to talk about school council. We also met the Harrisons area support manager Natalie to discuss many changes for 2013. We had a cake sale for World Book day and used some of the money to buy books for the school and used the rest of the money to get Mr Thompson his leaving present. On World Book Day we raised a total of £172.25 We also had Red Nose Day to raise money for children who are not as fortunate as we are. We dressed up and had a cake sale and raised £1,703.14 In the spring term we raised a total of £1,875.39

  5. Summer Term In the summer term we… Wore our trousers back to front on wrong trouser day and made £270. We met with the governors and told them about our successes. They helped us organisea meeting with Harrisons workers Ricky and Bill. They gave us a new menu for September 2013 and told us that they will work with their staff and consider portion sizes in the first half term. We will work with next years School Councillors and inform them of things that have been put in place.

  6. News in the school All the children at Little Ealing except Year 6 as they are leaving, have met their fantastic new teachers for the next school year. We have also had a lot of luck this term with very hot weather. We allenjoyed Sports Day taking part in all kinds of activities that we hadn’t even done before such as the high jump and the long jump. We also got our reports from our tests, well done everyone!

  7. The End Of The Year! Sadly for this year’s council representatives, their year is over. Next years lot of great councillors will be elected by their class. The old year 5 reps meet our new councillors who will continue the School Dinner Campaign created this year. The new term starts on Wednesday the 4th of September, See you then Have a nice summer From All The Reps!
