  2. Needs Assessment: • Google Docs is partnered with Google Drive to have everything stored for you online through a special cloud service that has been implemented at your convenience. Instead of carrying that extra pin drive around you can digitally store your information through your Google Account. • Some users have taken advantage of the opportunity and benefits them by having to have notes ready to load on the Word document or having an essay ready on demand. • Some users do not have the experience of knowing how to work Google Docs and with the assessment they will be successful to take advantage of the method.

  3. Needs Assessment: The training module will benefit the learner by: • Learning how to login to Google account through google docs • Create a document • Input three objectives given • Correct the grammar of the objectives • Share the document through email

Instructional Goal: • After completing the training module, the learner will be successful in how to Create a document, save and share the document assuming the learner already has a Google Account. • Completing the training will make the learner feel more comfortable by using Google Docs as an on-the-go storage drive.

Performance Objectives • After completing the training the learners will have experience on • Objective #1:Assuming they already have a google account active, the learner log in to their personal Google Account(CN), the learners will be able to create a doc input a few sentences that I will be providing(B), without any assistance(CR). • Objective #2:Using the Grammar Check in Google Doc (CN), the learner will use spell check and grammar check to make editing corrections (B) without assistance (CR). • Objective #3: Using Google Docs (CN) the learner will share the document with others using email addresses given to them (B) with 100% accuracy (CR).

  7. Learner Characteristics: • My target audience will be for: • Everyone that has basic computer skills and know how to create a Google Account and log in to their personal email account. • High School through College Students • Both Male and Female • Ages ranging from 17-30

Learning Context: • The training module for how to use Google Docs will be given at a computer lab. • They will be in a group and each will be able to use the computers provided or they can bring their own personal laptop(optional) • They will access the internet and in order to view the module to follow the objectives given to learn how to use Google doc.

  9. Instructional Strategies: • I. Introduction: Welcome and Instructor Introduction (a) Overview of the training (b) Statement of Goals and Objectives (c) Convenience of learning and information i. Explain how it will be beneficial to the user of using Google Doc linked to their G-mail accounts. ii. Further knowledge of what Google Docs can do upon use of G-mail account linked.

  10. Instructional Strategies • II. Presentation: This Unit will include the lesson content. The learners will go through a step by step instruction for Google Docs. • Logging in and creating a doc • (a) Logging into the Google Account and creating a doc on screen. (b) Labeling on screen. • Inputting Sentences • (a) Inputting a few sentences that I will provide (shown by picture in step-by-step instruction) (b) Labeling on screen.

Instructional Strategies: • Correcting Grammar • (a) Log out then log back in open the doc • (b) Correct the grammar sentences that I previously provided • (c) Labeling on screen. • Sharing the Doc • Share the document that I will be providing a specific email for them to send to. (Shown in the step-by-step video instruction) • Labeling on screen.

Instructional Strategies: • III Assessment Training Exercise (Email a Doc for Evaluation) • Learners will be assigned to input three sentences of their own choice and will use grammar check to fix the sentences and submit the document to the email given to them with 100% accuracy.   13. Instructional Resources: • To learn how to use Google Docs the learner will need: • Computer/Laptop • Keyboard/Mouse • Google Account. • Internet Access • Notebook (optional)

  15. Formative Evaluation: The tutorial will be evaluated by the following: • Peer Evaluation Each individual will email me to the email I will be providing them when they send me the doc. They will give me input on how the training was carried. They will provide feedback what parts of the training need to be more understandable from taking steps to following the step-by step instruction method. I will then take the feedback and improve my training for the best instructional method. • Subject Matter Evaluation An individual who is knowledgeable in Google docs will revise to ensure the objectives were carried out by identifying the following: • A doc was created and the sentences provided were input correctly. • The following sentence provided were grammatically corrected. • The doc was shared successfully , feedback will be given in return.

Summary: • The Instructional goal of knowing how to use Google Docs will help the learners in every aspect to write notes down on the doc or in case they are not able to carry a pin drive with them at all times, they will ensure they feel confident that every not they take will be stored on their Google Account. • Just like logging in through computer, you access Google Docs through smartphones which they are able to log in and type into an untitled document you will be able to perform the same functions as steps provided it will automatically save to your doc and you can pick off from where you started. By the end of the viewing the tutorial, the learners will have knowledge and confidence on how to use Google Docs.
