  2. Amelia Earhart’s first flight • Amelia Earhart was the first female to fly across the Atlantic Ocean in June 1928. • She set lots of records from her flying experience. • Amelia Earhart got her first plane in 1921.

  3. Amelia was born on the 24th of July 1897 in Kansas and died in 1937. • She had a sister named Muriel.

  4. Some of Amelia’s Achievements • Some of Amelia’s achievements were on October 1922 she set the women’s records of 14,000 feet. • In May 1935 she was the first person to fly solo nonstop from Mexico to Newark in 14 hours and 19 mins.

  5. Amelia Earhart’s final Decision • In 1937 just before Amelia’s 40th birthday Amelia decided on a final challenge. She hoped to become the first woman to fly around the world. It was this challenge that she disappeared.

  6. Amelia was never found and was declared dead in July 1937. • Amelia made some astonishing achievements at such a young age and will always be remembered as the first woman to fly solo across the Atlantic Ocean.
