Open Meets • Competitions held throughout the year at different clubs • Oxford, Abingdon, Witney, Tigersharks (Swindon), Coventry, Milton Keynes, Maxwell (Aylesbury) • Swimmers aged 9 and over (usually on day of competition) • 4 levels of meet • L4 and L3 aimed at newer swimmers • L2 and L1 for county and regional swimmers • Events start at 50m and go up to 400m, include all strokes and IM • Encourage younger swimmers to swim a range of strokes • And to enter 200m events • June – Oxford (and perhaps Witney or Abingdon)

  3. Milton Keynes and District Junior League • The league is aimed at children 9 – 12 (age as of 31st December) • 2 Divisions each with 18 teams, WWHSC will join division 2 • Contested by clubs from the Thames Valley, Oxfordshire, Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Northamptonshire • Runs from June to September, 3 events • All age groups swim 4x25m freestyle and medley relays • .Individual events for 9 years are 25m and 10-12 years are 50m. • The final event is a canon relay of 8x25m, with a girl and boy of each age group swimming in ascending order. • Squad selection, fast and furious, include relays, great for team spirit
