  2. Warm-Up Use pages 406 & 407, Figure 10 Name an example of a 2nd-level consumer. What makes it a 2nd-level consumer? Using page 408, Figure 11 3) How much energy is available at the base or bottom of the energy pyramid (k-cal)? 4) Which organism has the least amount of energy available to it?

  3. (1) What goes in X, Y, and Z? (2) What would happen if there were too many grasshoppers? (3) What would happen if the grass died off from a disease?
