Primeira premissa: CONEXÃO • Fortalecimento do vínculo=apego: mãe – filho • Fortalecimento da interação família – bebê • Desenvolvimento do elo afetivo entre o par humano ou a díade significativa • Fundamento para a maturação cerebral do circuito neuro-hormonal e que será o início dos estímulos para as re-ações de comportamento da criança ao longo da vida!

MMC Telemedicine Outreach Program Key Developments • Videoconferencing End-Point Technology in more than 100 Children’s Hospitals throughout the world and in 27 Pediatric Medical Centers here in the U.S. has served as the platform for the treatment of more than 30,000 sick children. • Development of a formal agreement between the World Bank, Polycom and MMC in 2006 resulted in the merger of the Global Distance Learning Network (GDLN) with the GTTN enhancing the reach and capabilities of both networks and aligning the interests of the academic and medical communities within the Latin American and Caribbean Region more closely. • Introduction of the first true High-Definition Video Conferencing platform between Medical Centers (St. Jude Children’s Cancer Research Hospital and St. Joseph’s Children’s Hospital) using Polycom HDX technology and the Internet 2 broadband platform. Current Projects • The launch of two new telemedicine outreach program TOP sites in Morocco – Hôpitald’Enfants in Casablanca and Mohammed VI Children’s Hospital in Marrakesh. • Collaboration with the Biamba Marie Mutombo Hospital and Research Center in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo to provide both telemedicine consultative support and ongoing physician training Medical Missions for Children Global Telemedicine and Teaching Network
