  2. YEAR 8 EOTC PROGRAMME EOTC WEEK PART 1 4-8 MARCH 2013 • BEACH EDUCATION - MURIWAI • 4 day rotation • 2 classes per day except Fri 1 class EOTC PART 2 26-29 NOVEMBER 2013 • 3 day rotation – 3 classes per day

  3. EOTC PART 1 Beach Education • Demonstrating confidence and skill when in water. • Knowledge and learning safety skills • - Developing an understanding of ‘SurfSense’.

  4. Beach Education Muriwai Beach Dates: Leave School: 9am Leave Muriwai: 2pm Arrive School: 2:50pm DATES:

  5. BEACH ED DAY • Part 1 • REVIEW THEORY • Surf Life Saving Guards • run the programme. • Part 2 • ACTIVITIES • - Beach • - Water

  6. GEAR LIST • Appropriate summer clothing • shorts/t-shirts • jandals/sports shoes • Swim suit/Wet suit/Rash vest • Hat • Sunblock • Lunch/drink

  7. PARENT/CAREGIVERS HELPERS • Help alongside teacher with supervision • if you have particular qualifications eg. Medical training/Instructors/stuntperson etc. let us know! • maybe expected to participate in actual events • If possible help on other days

  8. = Safety Boundary = Parent Water Activities Area Beach HELPER: Set boundaries. GEAR: Swim gear – wetsuit/rash vests ideal to keep warm.

  9. EOTC PART 2 TERM 4, WK 7 25-29 NOVEMBER

  10. DAY 1 – BIG DAY IN TEAM BUILDING

  11. Equipment: • Gloves • Beanie • Woollen socks • Warm pants, jackets • Thermals • Lunch/drink

  12. MOUNTAIN BIKING & TREE ADVENTURES • Close toed shoes • Socks • Rain Jacket • Hat/Beanie • Comfortable Shorts/pants • Lunch/drink • Small towel/hand towel • Sunblock

  13. Snorkelling equipment provided (wetsuits included) • Closed toe shoes • Comfortable walking gear • Togs/towel • Lunch/drink • sunblock/ • Sunhat

  14. Day 5 - BIG DAY OUT - Parakai!
