  2. Wealthy: • Wealthy People had nicer dining rooms • Ate enormous amounts of food • Wasted food continuously • They used china and fine cutlery • They also ate French cuisine

  3. Mainstream: http:// • There would be meat for the midday meal • Late evening meal of cheese and bacon • In rural areas, they ate bread and vegetables like onions, potatoes, or turnips with bacon or cheese 2-3 times a week

  4. Inferior: The poor couldn’t afford any of the food the rich ate They hade a drink called Saloop, which is a hot drink made from ground orchid roots Another thing they ate is called Flour soup, which is basically butter, flour, hot water, and salt. Appetizing, isn’t it?
