  20. So what can be done? BREAST SELF EXAMINATION LOOK:- • Raise the arms over the head and look at the breasts, turning slowly from side to side.

  23. So what can be done? BREAST SELF EXAMINATION FEEL:- • The left hand is used for the right breast. The pads of your three middle fingertips are moistened with body lotion. Firm pressure is applied and small circles made as the breasts are examined back or forth (up or down, circular or spoke style) in a pattern covering all the breast area including the nipple.

  24. So what can be done? • The examination is extended to the breast tissue in the underarm. • The hand is changed and repeat BSE is carried out on the opposite breast.

  25. So what can be done? BREAST SELF EXAMINATION FEEL:- • After lying down one arm is raised above your head. The breasts are examined as before, omitting the underarm. • The arm is changed and and repeat BSE on the opposite breast is carried out.
