  4. Foundation Studies Unique preparation for University life Our aim at Trinity is to prepare high quality international students for undergraduate study at the University of Melbourne.

  5. Success at Trinity 100% of students who completed July Fast Track 2005 received offers to the University of Melbourne Each year over 80% of students who complete Trinity College Foundation Studies received offers to the University of Melbourne

  6. Foundation Studies Core Curriculum • ENGLISH - English Literature - English for Academic Purposes - Drama + • History of Ideas (HOI)

  7. Elective subjects Choose three from • Accounting • Biology • Chemistry • Media & Communications • Economics • Environment & Development • Mathematics One • Mathematics Two • Music (Practical) • Music History • Physics • Psychology

Orientation What to expect • First day • Registration: passport, forms, information, official welcome, English Diagnostic Test, campus tour • Parents welcome at Official Welcome and Morning Tea • First Week • Information sessions on support services • Cross-cultural workshops • Introductory lectures for all subjects • Subject selection • Camp!

  9. Orientation Where do I go? • Registration takes place on the College’s Main Campus, Royal Parade

  10. Academic Life Classes • University style teaching • 15 students max in tutorials • Personalised timetables • Each class 1.5 hours long • 30min break between classes

  11. Academic Support • Mentors • Support or revision classes on Saturday • Designated staff consultation times • Students encouraged to ask questions

  14. Entrance to University Application Trinity will assist students with their applications to university. All Trinity graduates are automatically considered for the international undergraduate student scholarships at the University of Melbourne (50 in total).

On Arrival Airport Pick up • Airport Pickup • Free of charge unless a ‘no-show’ • Go to Meeting Point • International Arrivals: on the right as you leave the Customs Hall • Domestic Arrivals: bottom of escalator, near baggage collection area • Emergency Number: 1800 813 813 (Toll Free) • WAIT – do not leave the airport if you have requested to be picked up!
