  1. ABSTRACT Rosaceae have been showed as anticancer activity. Fragaria indica Andr. is an example of a rosaceae. It has a toxicity in n-heksane extract. Fractination of n heksane exstract arbenan herbs (Fragaria indica Andr.) with decrease 5-10% by Vaccum Chromatography result n-heksane fraction. Identification each n-heksane fraction used Thin layer Chromatography with Anisaldehide sulfate. The aim of this reseach was to examine the toxicity of n-heksane of Fragaria indica Andr. againts Artemia salina Leach. by Brine Shrimp Lethality Test (BST) method. The fraction effect on Artemia salina Leach was eaxamined in 24 hours to find out the death percentage of Artemia salina Leach caused by each fraction concentration. The data were analyzed statistically to find out the LC50 using Probit Analysis. The Result showed that n-heksana fraction had anticancer activity where the fifth fraction (LC50 87,39 ± 3,26 µg/ml.) had highest anticancer activity compared the others. Further characterization and isolation are still for development in future. Keywords : Fragaria indica And., anticancer activity, Brine Shrimp Lethality Test (BST) method, Probit Analysis
