LOSS PREVENTION AUDIT • AGENCIES THAT DEVELOP, IMPLEMENT AND ADHERE TO A COMPREHENSIVE SAFETY AND LOSS PREVENTION PROGRAM WILL BE GIVEN A CREDIT TO BE APPLIED TO THE AGENCY’S ANNUAL SELF-INSURED PREMIUM PER LINE OF INSURANCE COVERAGE EQUAL TO FIVE PERCENT OF THE AGENCY’S TOTAL ANNUAL SELF-INSURED PREMIUM. COVERAGE FOR MEDICAL MALPRACTICE AND ROAD HAZARDS SHALL BE EXCLUDED. ACT 11 GOVERNOR M.J. FOSTER APRIL 9, 1998

LOSS PREVENTION AUDIT AN AGENCY WHICH HAS FAILED TO RECEIVE CERTIFICATION AFTER UNDERGOING A LOSS PREVENTION AUDIT SHALL BE LIABLE FOR A PENALTY OF FIVE PERCENT OF THE AGENCY’S TOTAL ANNUAL SELF INSURED PREMIUM PAID PER LINE OF INSURANCE.     8. LP 2005-2006 • Conduct Compliance Reviews • vs. Audits once/3 yrs. • Suspension of CR’s due to Katrina • Appraisals in non-Katrina, Rita areas • Working on Audit Revisions • Status

    9. LP 2006-2007 • LP Manual/Audits Revised • Training Conducted (LP staff, agencies) • Score-based • Driver’s On-Line Training (LPOST) • Others (BBP, etc.) • More of a Consulting Role • Loss/Trend Analysis

    10. Offer workplace safety courses to all agencies Training to ALL employees – especially: LP Representatives Supervisors LOSS PREVENTIONSAFETY TRAINING

    11. LOSS PREVENTIONSAFETY TRAINING • All required programs in LP Audit are covered: • Blood Borne Pathogens • Substance Abuse / Drug Testing • Return to Work Policy • Sexual Harassment • ADA

LOSS PREVENTIONSAFETY TRAINING • Courses conducted throughout the State • Can conduct individual agency classes onsite: • At least guaranteed 15 employees will attend • Topic must be selected from LP Safety Training Course List • Request must be approved by State LP Supervisor over training or LP Manager • Classes posted on our web site

    13. LOSS PREVENTIONSAFETY TRAINING • Driver Training • New modified Driver On-Line Training is now available • LPOST • LEO • “Next Step Coaching” is still acceptable & approved for our Defensive Driving training audit requirements

    14. LOSS PREVENTIONSAFETY TRAINING • Equipment Management Training • Conducted by ORM excess carrier annually throughout State • Topics differ from: Chillers, heating, ventilation, A/C, & boiler machinery • Agencies submit employee name & title to ORM for training course

    21. INVESTIGATIONS Conducting Investigations and Assisting Agencies has 2-Fold Purpose: • Save State and Agencies • Direct Costs • Indirect Costs

    22. BUILDING APPRAISALS • Each building every four years • Addition of new buildings • Deletion of buildings

    23. OTHER SERVICES • Consultation and walk-thru inspections • Building/Equipment Issues • Boiler Inspection Follow-up • Elevator Inspection Follow-up • Video Library • Provide Driver Training Course materials

    25. Sign into STARS at www.stars-web.com.

    26. Choose Available Reports from the Reports option on the menu bar.

    27. Select Agency Rep from the Report Groups drop down menu and click on the Filter button.

    28. The resulting list will show the reports that you can run.

    29. Choose the report you want to run from the list and click on the running man.

    30. The next screen will show if the report was successful. Click on the Report Status option button on the left navigation bar.
