Who are Sported? • UK sport for development charity, helping to change the lives of disadvantaged young people ages 11 – 25. • We support the work of community and voluntary groups delivering ‘sport for development’. • Our aim is to help them become sustainable and run their organisation to the best of their ability. • We are a free membership organisation providing the business support and resources that these groups need.

  3. What is ‘sport for development’? ‘Where sport is intended to be used as a tool to engage disadvantaged young people and communities, to help improve lives in a sustainable way’ • Building strong communities • Reducing crime and anti-social behaviour • Removing barriers to regular participation in sport for marginalised groups • Developing young people by providing them with skills for the workplace and life • Providing education in health and well being

Membership is FREE • Become a member to access our services • Everything we do is aimed towards helping our Members • Majority of members are constituted clubs and charities • You don’t have to be a sports organisation Eligibility criteria • Not-for-profit • Working with 11-25’s • Targeting disadvantaged communities • Having clear intention to use sport or physical activities in order to achieve a positive social outcome for young people
