In a small farming community where livestock and pets are at risk, recent rabies-positive skunks raise concerns of an epidemic. This webquest engages students in collaborative problem-solving to develop a proactive action plan. By researching rabies, understanding local ecosystem interactions, and evaluating preventive measures for citizens and government, students will compile their findings into a report and a PowerPoint presentation for the City Council. This activity fosters critical thinking and community awareness of zoonotic diseases.
