Worldwide Projects • Green products & services (Lighthouse projects) • Green Terminals e.g. Melbourne • Green Road e.g. Driver training, fuel efficient vehicles, etc. • Green Logistics Networks e.g. efficient planning of intermodal transport concepts • Green Product Rail e.g. carbon-free rail • Reduction of CO2 emissions • Target is to reduce emissions by 20% by 2020 • Note: More than 60% of DB’s emissions are emitted by DB Schenker • Environmental Management System - ISO 14001 certification • EcoTransit – Development of online tool to compare emissions and energy consumption of different transport modes (Road, Rail, inland waterway, ocean and air)

Local projects and initiatives • Green Terminal Melbourne • Rail link Port Botany to Yennora • Domestic Transport - subcontractor evaluation (Mike Anastas) – follow up • Sustainability Advantage Program (18months program) • Resource Efficiency (Energy, Fuels, Water, Waste, etc.) • Vision, Commitment, Planning (Strategic approach to Sustainability) • 2 more modules e.g. Green procurement, supply chain, staff engagement, etc.)

Reporting and auditing • Head Office • Vehicles (Own and subcontracted, fuel consumption, mileage, load factor, etc.) • Facilities (Energy, Waste, Water, Recycling, Cooling Gases, etc.) • NGER (National Greenhouse and Energy Reporting) • Vehicles, Facilities, at a later stage Travel, etc. • ISO 14k Certification (by 2011) • A systematic approach is needed to gather and archive documentation for above.
