This project, implemented from October 2007 to September 2011, aimed to achieve sustained and equitable improvements in maternal and newborn health in Doti and Kailali districts of India, especially targeting marginalized populations. The strategic objectives include enhancing maternal and neonatal health, improving health services and organizational development, and promoting community and ecological development. The project focuses on intermediate results such as enhancing maternal and newborn outcomes, increasing the capacity of health sectors for care, fostering community commitment, and creating a supportive environment. The interventions cover maternal and neonatal services, community-based neonatal care programs, integrated management of childhood illness, and HIV/AIDS initiatives.
