AGM 2008 Resolution • “Support the development of the Funeral Service Foundation Program, Funeral Service Pre-arrangement Certificate Program, revisions to the existing programs, and to make use of the programs to meet future skill needs.” 2008 – 2010 FSABC strategic plan IS based upon this membership resolution.

HST • Announced July 24, 2009 • FSABC consults with Tax Specialist • Member Alert August 4 and 7th • FSABC request to the Minister of Finance to be included in mitigation discussions • October 2009 – FSABC meets with Tax Policy Branch • Government consider contracts entered into prior to July 1 be grandfathered, and • BC resident’s tax credit

  39. EXTERNAL COMMUNICATIONS The Globe & Mail, The National Post, The Montreal Gazette, CBC, CTV, Global... In fact we have spoken to all of the National and large Regional Newspapers and Television Stations! When the public want information about the Funeral Profession – FSAC makes sure that they get the information they need! If you ever have questions or concerns or would like information regarding media relations – call the office toll-free and we will make sure you get the information you need! Remember no news is bad news!
