Saint Augustine’s Writing Program • It has multiple writing courses which start with English Composition I. • All of these courses are writing intensive. • The college also offers other classes that include writing components: • PHIL 231 Introduction To Philosophy • ENGL 231 World Literature I

  4. Liberal Arts Course Requirements • The Department of English requires 12 credit hours in liberal arts courses that are intended to provide English majors with additional competencies in culture (literature and arts), critical thinking, and the necessary technological skills. • PHIL 231 Introduction to Philosophy • CIS 240 Microcomputer Software Application • ENGL 231 World Literature 1 • Visual and performance course

  5. What seems to be considered successful or effective or good writing? I think anything, not just writing is considered successful or effective when you have put a great deal of time, effort and hard work into it.

  6. How does college writing compare to writing you’ve done before? I think college writing is more in-depth and critical that writing I have done in the past and I have found myself doing a lot more thinking before and while I write than in my everyday writing.

  7. How can you prepare for this kind of writing? I think you can prepare this kind of writing by using the writing process more and more in your writing whether you need it or not.
