Orientation: Selection Process • Candidates Apply at www.INROADS.org • Complete Application • Answer Assessment Questions • Submit Resume • INROADS Operations Coordinator will call candidates within 7-10 business days • Talent Management Center (1-800) 651-6411 • Review submitted information to confirm eligibility • Provide candidate with direct contact information • Request an official transcript • Invite candidate to a Candidate Prep Session

Orientation: Roles & Responsibilities Five Key Focus Areas 1-Increasing the number of Talent Pool Qualified Candidates in our Pipeline. 2-Recommend 2 or more new Faculty/ Staff Champions professors to your INROADS campus manager. 3- Conduct an intense Handbill and Poster Blitz in all Multicultural Residence Halls, TREO Programs , Affinity Group Mailboxes, Etc. 4- Host Campus Events-Info Table, Applicant CPS Sessions etc. 5- Securing Space for Campus Events

  5. Marketing: Communication • Internet • Facebook.com • Myspace.com • Email • Personal Referral • Students • Campus Contacts • Promote Recruiter /Staff interaction & deliver recruitment materials

Marketing: Communication • Student Organization • Encourage multiple activities with • key student organizations • Seek “co-registration” with student organizations for applications to INROADS • Appeal to students in primary target majors • (Bus, Fin, Acct, Engineer, IT, Health) • Seek interaction with national partners • (NSBE, SHPE, NABA, AISES, ALPFA)

Marketing: Communication • Campus Relations Do’s & Don’ts • Do ask students of color to apply • Don’t ask students what their nationality is • Do tell students about your internship experience • Don’t be negative in your goal to be honest • Do assist Recruiters by inviting students to events • Don’t tell non-minority students not to attend • Do attempt to secure rooms at student rates or discounts • Don’t jeopardize relations by using dishonest practices • Do tell your peers about the selection process • Don’t discourage them about our selectiveness

Post-Recruitment Issues Candidate Prep Sessions • Candidate Prep Sessions dates are being developed on select campuses • Ambassadors and Recruiters will coordinate these events • Traditional Prep Sessions • Occur in the Market office nearest to the applicant’s hometown • Most students will go through the normal Talent Pool training • Spring Semester Focus • Emphasis is on getting eligible students to apply during the Fall • Since applications lead to interviews, students should apply early What happens after ?
