KNIGHTS FIGHT THE FLAME!!! http://www.standard.net/slideshows/2009%20Slideshows/slchousefire022809/slideshow.html

  3. OXYGEN + HEAT + FUEL = CHEMICAL REACTION = FIRE! The important thing to remember is: take any of these four things away, and you will not have a fire or the fire will be extinguished. Essentially, fire extinguishers (and Firefighters) put out fire by taking away one or more elements of the fire triangle/tetrahedron.Fire safety- keep fuel sources and ignition sources separate! www.newmarketfire.com

  4. What can WE doSo this won’t happen to you? DO • Keep space heaters clear from combustibles. • Keep lighters & matches out of children’s reach. DON’T • Leave candles unattended! • Leave cooking unattended. • Overload electrical sockets/ make sure plugs are not frayed or cut. • Smoke in bed or leave cigarettes unattended. • DON’T PLAY WITH FIRE!!!

  5. FIRE SAFETY • SMOKE DETECTORS: Make sure to have working SMOKE DETECTORS on each level of your home AND outside of bedrooms. Check batteries often. • FIRE ESCAPE PLAN- Make one and practice often with your family– two exits for each room- Plan a meeting place outside.

  6. IF THERE IS A FIRE… *CRAWL LOW UNDER SMOKE. *FEEL CLOSED DOORS, IF HOT USE OTHER EXIT. *STOP, DROP, & ROLL IF YOUR HAIR OR CLOTHING START ON FIRE. *ESCAPE FIRST THEN CALL “911”!!! *NEVER, EVER RE-ENTER A BURNING BUILDING!!!
