HCD innovation process – what’s new? • Concept • Capacity development always aims to develop the fundamental capacity to bring about change. • Capacity development at individual level is dovetailed with organisational and systems development (HCD <-> OCD) (HCD is thus a core element of our three-level approach!) • Quality assurance: integrated results on the basis of a systematic HCD assessment • Integrated results model – only really effective in combination! • Implementation • Participants selected on the basis of their motivation and potential to bring about changes • Innovative approaches to sustainable learning and networking: self-managed and collaborative • USP: learning in and with Germany, worldwide and in a virtual setting • Sustainability… • … for participants: learning networks ensure knowledge sharing • … in terms of change capacities for partner systems, because trainers and advisors act as multipliers and as further training networks • … for GIZ: standardisation and modularisation of HCD services for multiple use Human capacity development (HCD): Change comes from people!
