Rosa Parks!. What Is She Famous For?. One day Rosa Parks was tired so she sat in the front seat of the bus. Then a white man walked up and that man told her to move to somewhere else. But Rosa Parks stood up to that man and she said NO! So on that very day Rosa Parks was sent to jail.

  2. What Is She Famous For? • One day Rosa Parks was tired so she sat in the front seat of the bus. Then a white man walked up and that man told her to move to somewhere else. But Rosa Parks stood up to that man and she said NO! So on that very day Rosa Parks was sent to jail.

  3. Who Was Rosa Parks? • Rosa Parks was a girl like Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. She believed that all people should be treated equally. • She believed that all people can do the same things. She wanted peace to the world. She wanted people to get along.

  4. Rosa Parks Life • Rosa’s mom was a teacher and her dad was a carpenter. • But her parents separated when she was young. • Her mother raised her. • She went to an all blacks school.

  5. Her Mission • Her mission in life was to have black people, white people, and everyone else in the world to be treated all the same, to be treated equally!

  6. Famous times • 1950- Worked as a seamstress for a white family. • 1955- Refused to give up her seat to a white man. • 1956- Boycott ends after busses are desegregated. • 1961- She helped open a sewing factory. • 1963- She joined the march in Washington Dc where Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. delivers his Dream Speech. • 1965- She begins working for John Conyers.
