Andrew Jackson President • Andrew Jackson was the 7th president of the united states of America. • He served two terms from 1829-1837 as a Democrat.
Life • “Old Hickory” as some called him, was born somewhere in the carolinas on March 15, 1767 in the Crawford Cabin. • Throughout his life he had sporadic education until his late teens he studied law for two years then he became a young lawyer in Tennessee, he did well enough off to buy slaves and build himself a mansion.
Life Cont. • He lost both of his brothers in the american revolution. • He only had one child with his wife Rachel Donaldson Roberds who died in 1828, the year before he was elected president. • After his wife's death he did not remarry but his wife's niece his first woman.
Death • Andrew Jackson died on June 8th, 1845 and was buried in the Hermitage. • He has his own state park called the Andrew Jackson state park.
