  2. Breaking the Link: Everyone’s Business (DCSF, 2009) About half (48%) of pupils entitled to FSM are to be found in the third of schools with greatest concentration of disadvantage, and the other half are spread across the other two thirds of schools.

Underachieving disadvantaged and vulnerable pupils, looked-after children and those at risk of exclusion, with particular focus on: children eligible for free school meals, Black and Minority Ethnic (BME), white British, gifted and talented, and SEN pupils Focus for the Narrowing the Gap programme plan

  5. 2010 Outcomesfor schools, settings and LAs FSM • In 2010 attainment gaps at KS4 have narrowed to 21% pts in line with required trajectory • English and mathematics contribute in line with required trajectory G&T • In 2010 the proportion of FSM pupils on the G&T register has increased to at least 10% from 2008 baselines (primary and secondary) BME • In 2010 attainment gaps at KS4 have narrowed to: BC 8% pts, W/BC 6% pts, BA, W/BA 0%pts, P 3% pts, AOW 0% pts GRT • In 2010 attendance has improved by 10% from 2008 baseline • In 2010 attainment gaps at KS4 have narrowed to 30% pts
