  28. Staff • Mr Odell • You could say that I've been involved in outdoor education for 15 years now and have participated and organised excursions that range from Snow-shoeing to Maple-Syrup production to understanding Predator-Prey dynamics and everything in between. Additionally, I am currently helping run the D of E awards for the older students. • Mrs Jones • Although I hate to admit it, I have now been qualified as a teacher for 21 years! I taught in the Flintshire and Wrexham areas of the UK for 14 years, mostly in KS2 until I had the family when I then moved to Early Years and Reception. •       I worked in two different primary schools when teaching KS2 and took part in five Outdoor Education trips in both schools with responsibility for the girls. These involved Years 5 and 6 children in activities such as rock climbing/abseiling, canoeing, orienteering, swimming and archery.    •       I am really looking forward to another trip to Fujairah and know we will have a fantastic time. They are a great group of children and are accompanied by an experienced team of staff.

  29. Staff • Mrs Addis • I have been in Saudi Arabia for nearly fifteen years, spending time in Khamis Mushayt, Riyadh and finally arriving in Dhahran just over four years ago. • I have two daughters; and it was when my younger one went to school, that I began my career as a Teaching Assistant, having undertaken some distance learning to gain qualifications as an Early Years Practitioner and also in Primary Learning Support. I began my career in the British International School in Riyadh working in Key Stage 1. When a move with my husband’s job brought us to Dhahran, I was lucky to find work straight away in DBGS, in the madcap department that is Key Stage 2. • I have been involved in various trips within the Kingdom and also took part in a school ski trip to Verbier in Switzerland a couple of years ago which was great fun. The Fujairah trip is new to me, although one of my daughters took part last year and knowing how much fun she had, I can’t wait to go and get stuck in to the various activities alongside the children. • Myself

  30. Potential Questions • What will my son/daughter need to take? • Can my son/daughter take their mobile phone? • Will they need pocket money? • How will they be put in groups? • Who will organise sleeping arrangements? • Who will look after the passport?
