  2. Circled Number Write a 2-digit number on a piece of paper. Let this number be A. Find the sum of the remaining digits. Circle a digit from the answer except “0”. Multiply this figure by 5. Add 1 to this figure. Subtract 5 from the figure. Subtract A from the figure. (A is the 2-digit number that you first wrote.) Multiply A by 2.

  13. This magic is based on sound Mathematical concepts and is one of the many that we use in Creative Maths, thus making learning fun. In class, we • Perform the magic so that students can practise their arithmetic in class. • Guide them in deciphering how the magic works thus train their logic and analytical skills and sharpen their observation skill. • Challenge student by asking questions relating to the magic, thus developing their mathematical thinking. • Lead high ability students in higher order thinking by coaching them to modify the magic to something new.
