The Deceptive Wolf: A Cautionary Tale

In this classic fable, a shepherd is tasked with protecting his flock of sheep from a sneaky wolf. At first, the wolf appears to help the shepherd, and the shepherd grows complacent, forgetting the wolf's true nature. When he leaves his flock in the wolf's care, tragedy strikes, and the shepherd learns a profound lesson about trust and the inherent nature of others. This tale serves as a timeless reminder that one should never lose sight of the true character of those who may seem friendly.

  1. The Wolf and The Shepherd Read by Bryson Suen

  2. A Wolf had been prowling around a flock of Sheep for a long time, and the Shepherd watched very anxiously to prevent him from carrying off a Lamb. But the Wolf did not try to do any harm. Instead he seemed to be helping the Shepherd take care of the Sheep. At last the Shepherd got so used to seeing the Wolf about that he forgot how wicked he could be.

  3. One day he even went so far asto leave his flock in the Wolf'scare while he went on anerrand. But when he cameback and saw how many of the flock had been killed and carried off, he knew how foolish to trust a Wolf. Once a wolf, always a wolf.
