Hydraulic and Water Quality Evaluation of the Upper Illinois River

Hydraulic and Water Quality Evaluation of the Upper Illinois River. Migration of Asian carp up the Illinois River moved rapidly from 1986 until about 2002 when the population front “stalled” in the Marseilles/Dresden Pools of the Illinois River ( Kolar , et al, 2007).

  1. Hydraulic and Water Quality Evaluation of the Upper Illinois River • Migration of Asian carp up the Illinois River moved rapidly from 1986 until about 2002 when the population front “stalled” in the Marseilles/Dresden Pools of the Illinois River (Kolar, et al, 2007). • This project will collect detailed hydraulic and water quality data and collaborate with partner agencies collecting fish telemetry data to determine what factors that may be stalling the migration. • Project will be completed Sept. 2014.
