BACKGROUND… • 2018 American black comedy crime thriller. • Directed by Paul Feig. • Based on the 2017 novel, of the same title, by Darcey Bell. • The film follows a small town vlogger who tries to solve the disappearance of her mysterious and elegant friend. • It stars Anna Kendrick and Blake Lively.

  3. WHAT CAN WE EXPECT FROM THE REST OF THE FILM? • A focus around women and female characters. • Light hearted with comedy and romance but also paired with some violence.

  4. TARGET AUDIENCE? • Female target audience. • Age 30 - 50

  5. HOW IS THE GENRE OF THE FILM SET UP? • Shots of people tend to hide their identity - only half of a face or certain unrecognisable body parts. • Close ups. • Has slight prompts towards unsettling things - photo of knife in a woman hand - despite jolly French music in the background.

  6. CHARACTERS? • WE DON’T MEET ANY INDIVIDUAL CHARACTERS BUT WE SEE SHOTS OF FEMALE BODIES AND FACES AS WELL AS ITEMS LINKED TO FEMININITY, SUCH AS HANDBAGS, COCKTAILS, SHOES, BAKING, ETC.
