Thriller (Get Out) What narrative is given to us? • The narrative given to us as the audience is that there is an element of horror to the movie as we see a man choked to death in the opening scene. From this what do you expect the rest of the films narrative will be from the little information you have seen? • From this opening scene I know that I would expect to see more death and tense scenes.

  2. Kingsman: The Secret Service Who is the targeted audience for this film ? • This film has been targeted towards a black male audience of 18 and upwards . How do we know this from the opening sequence and titles? • I know this because in the opening scene we only see a black man and a man in a mask.

  3. Get out Do you think this is a successful opening scene? • I think that it is a successful opening scene as it leaves the audience with a thousand questions like: why was the man killed and Who killed him.
