  2. TDG – Transportation Dangerous Goods Training Course This course is designed for individuals and companies involved in the transportation, shipping and receiving of dangerous goods in Canada. Course Outline: •Transportation Dangerous Goods Act and Regulation •TDG safety video •Classification and Identifications •Marking and Labeling •Documentation and Shipping Documents •Segregation and Compatibility Groups •Exceptions and Exemptions •General Safety Dangerous goods put people, property, or the environment at risk due to their chemical or physical properties. The hazards associated with dangerous goods greatly increase when they are moved or transported. Accordingly, Canada’s Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) Act ensures public safety by specifying strict regulations that must be followed when transporting these types of materials. Anyone involved in shipping or receiving dangerous goods requires training on TDG regulations and must be aware of what they are handling, what its hazards are, and what to do in case of an emergency. This TDG training course provides an overview of the TDG regulations and teaches how to recognize and handle dangerous goods. You should ask your supervisor or employer about any special equipment or specific training required for handling and transportation of these dangerous goods. Once you have completed this course, you will be better informed about the importance of complying with the regulations for TDG. Staying safe is the number one goal!
