1. SUMMER READING FUN!! • The following is a list of fun reading opportunities for you  • The Allen Public Library offers a fun reading program in which you can win prizes for your reading. Just stop by the library and pick up the information or log on to http://www.cityofallen.org/departments/library/. Click on ‘Children” then “Summer Reading” and you will find information about the program. • At Barnes and Noble you can choose your own FREE reading adventure if you read 8 books and keep track of the books you read on their reading log. You can download the reading log off the website, www.barnesandnoble.com/summerreading . • At Half Price Books, if you read just 15 minutes a day and keep track of it on the reading log. If you read 600 minutes or more, bring the reading log to a local store and receive a $5 Back to School Bucks. You can turn in your log between July 25 and August 7. Log on to the website, www.hpb.com/community/fyb/started/ to download the log. • At Borders, beginning on June 1, if you read 10 books, you can bring in your log and receive a free book. The last day to redeem your free book coupon is September 5. Log on to the website, www.borders.com, click on “Kids”, then click “Double-Dog Dare”. • Finally, as you are drowning in ALL your exciting reading, log on to my Reading Blog – www.mrscsreading.blogspot.com – to blog about what you have read, what you are reading, and what you want to read.
