HEAnet is witnessing a shift as client institutions move services like email and virtual learning environments (VLEs) to cloud-based solutions. This transition involves remote campuses across various regions utilizing centralized VLEs and media. The presentation explores performance challenges, such as accessing a VLE in Amsterdam and video streaming from Ireland to China. Potential solutions include a framework tender for commercial Application Performance Management (APM) solutions and the possibility of developing an in-house APM solution. The investigation into multi-domain APM solutions' roles and partnerships with eduPERT and GEANT is also discussed.
