    Slide 5:Synopsis of FOOLS

The play takes place in the cursed Ukrainian village of Kulyenchikov. For two hundred years every villager has suffered the curse of stupidity. Into this village comes young, idealistic school master Leon Tolchinsky. Events that ensue as Leon tries to break the curse by educating at least one person are cause for laughter.

Slide 6:Synopsis of BYE, BYE BIRDIE

This musical tells the story of a rock and roll singer who is about to be inducted into the army (sound familiar, Elivs fans?). Arrangements are made for the president of Conrad’s fan club in Sweet Apple, OH, to give him one last kiss. When the NYC entourage shows up in Sweet Apple, interesting things happen.

Slide 7: Fall Arts Preview Christmas Spectacular Spring Arts Exhibition

Drama students perform cuttings, monologues or duets. The choirs perform. During the Christmas Spectacular the band and color guard perform. Art projects are displayed. In the Spring, clothing students model garments.

Slide 8:Field Trips to Indiana Repertory Theatre

The fall production is “A Christmas Carol” by Charles Dickens. The spring production is “Romeo & Juliet” by William Shakespeare. Since these are co-curricular, students pay for the tickets and transportation.
