Schedules will also be posted on Mrs. Peters’swebsite. There are 2 practice sections: 3:30-4:15 and 4:15-5:00. Please make sure students know which section(s) they need to attend

  9. Stage Crew • There is also an opportunity for students who would like to participate in a show, not as cast members, but behind the scenes as a stage crew member. • Set design • Costumes/Makeup • Ushering • Prop distribution • “Set Crew” The stage crew rehearsal schedule is different than the cast schedule and depends on the student’s role in the crew. They are vital to the success of the show and therefore are held to the same standards as outlined in our attendance policy.

  10. Attendance Policy Students are expected to attend all of their scheduled rehearsals. If a student must miss a practice due to a previously scheduled (not able to be rescheduled) appointment, the parent must provide a written excuse prior to the absence.

  11. Attendance Policy Cont. Unexcused absences are not to occur. Students with 2 unexcused absences will result in removal from the show. Excessive absenteeism is also grounds for immediate dismissal from the show. This includes scheduled appointments.

  12. Attendance Policy Cont. Students are expected to be picked up promptly at the end of rehearsal. We as directors strive to end rehearsals in time for students to clean up and be released at pick-up time. As we near the performance, this may become a little more difficult, but it remains our goal. We expect them to remain at the rehearsal until they are dismissed.

  13. Parent Volunteers We are in need of parents to assist with costuming, hair and makeup, ticket sales (prior to the show and the night of), cast party, concessions (kisses for the cast, flowers) Sign up sheets will be available for each area of need at the specific shows’ meetings. Volunteers must have their clearances on file with the district. If you do not currently have them, apply this week and you should hopefully have them within a few weeks. See Mrs. Peters for more information.

  14. Parent Volunteers There will be a brief parent meeting after the first rehearsal for each show for parents. We will discuss ads and patrons, hand out important papers that must be signed specific to the show, and have sign ups for volunteers. The Willy Wonka parent meeting will be Monday, September 23 at 5:00 in the auditorium and will last approximately 10-15 minutes.

  15. Communication E-mail is the easiest way to communicate: rpeters@fleetwoodasd.k12.pa.us I use the e-mails listed on the permission slips turned in to communicate with parents. I will also post important messages on my website.

  16. Drama Club Fundraiser We will be doing a Thirty-One Drama Club Fundraiser. The hostess rewards (which are doubled this month!) will be used to purchase organizational bins and bags to store costumes and props. All orders will be due by Friday, September 27.
