Re-inventing Genisys • OBD II Smart Cable™ • The new OBD II Smart Cable™ has the combined power of over 50 System Smart Inserts. • Eliminates the need for most current and future System Smart Inserts. • Provides improved test capability and accuracy resulting in faster diagnosis for higher technician productivity.

  4. Genisys OBD II Smart Cable Over 50 System Smart Inserts replaced with one Smart Cable The technician currently selects the appropriate System Smart Insert he needs for the job. The new OBD II Smart Cable is essentially “plug and play”. Definition: System Smart Inserts (SSI’s) are used to “mux” or route connector data lines as necessary to facilitate OEM enhanced communication and can sometimes contain electronics. SSI’s provided access to this OEM enhanced information in place of additional cables. What was once the best low cost solution is now re-invented with the Genisys OBD II Smart Cable.

The new OBD II Smart Cable ONLY functions with the following Genisys software: Domestic 2006, Asian 2006, European 2005, Heavy Duty, ABS / Airbag 2004, and Global OBD II. The OBD II SSI cable and System Smart Inserts WILL work with all new Genisys software releases. EXCEPT any new system coverage added that would have required a new SSI. These new systems only work with the OBD II Smart Cable Genisys OBD II Smart Cable DOES NOT function with any previous software like Domestic 05, Asian 05, and European 03

Re-inventing Genisys • Automated System Test™ • With one button press, Automated System Test performs a system “health check” of all available vehicle controllers. • Any trouble codes found are reported along with other vital scan data. • Repair-Trac pattern failures and available repair information are linked to trouble codes of the top known component failures. NEW feature in Domestic 06, Asian 06, and European 05

  8. Genisys Automated System Test Automated System Test™ is the default selection in Diagnostic Menu. One button press and it will perform the test and report the data in a fraction of the time it used to take using manual, step by step procedures. Automated System Test™ begins to automatically poll all available controllers for DTC’s and other vital scan data. A System Analysis Test Report summarizes the findings. The primary controller is that selected by the technician. The secondary controllers are all others found with a report on their DTC status.

  9. Genisys Automated System Test Selecting the Detail screen provides specifics on the primary and secondary controllers. Pressing Enter on any DTC provides the technician with all available code and diagnostic strategy information for that specific vehicle. Genisys Automated System Test™ ties together the diagnostic power of Pathfinder™, Repair-Trac InfoTech™, and Fast Fixes™ troubleshooters for you, saving time and increasing profitability. The System Analysis Test Report can be saved for later transfer to a PC for storage or printing.
