DRAINAGE AND SEWERAGE • This was a project under the WDDP program of the World Bank under Mr. Vijay Jagannathan and Mr. Luis Tavares. • The City of San Fernando, La Union borrowed P30M for drainage projects and bought a dredging machine and vacuum tanker as mitigating measures to address flooding.

SCHOOL BUILDINGS • We borrowed P36M to build ten school buildings with 34 classrooms, complete with chairs, 20 computers each per building, science laboratory or home economics classrooms per building, and a standard classroom • The City was able to bring down the number of students per classroom • The City Division made it to the top 9th place out of 189 divisions all over the country based on the three year average of the National Achievement Test

  7. SIDEWALKS WITH PAVER TILES • All around the City Hall and the Plaza in front of the City Hall, we replaced the concrete tiles with environment friendly paver tiles. This allows water to be absorbed through the small cracks between the paver tiles and has contributed to less flooding in the area.
