Logistics and Agenda • Confirmation letter, Program, Attendees List, Meeting Rooms, Food, Slides for Web • Workshop Team, Hotel Facilities, Internet Access, Power • Alliance Gets Everyone Together, has Annual General Meeting, Listen and learn • Key components • End Users provide experience and requirements • Linux Distros and Microsoft give feedback and plans • Tier 1 and 2 OEMs share status and strategies • IB and RDMA-E Systems and Chip companies • Developers, Contributors and Testers update status and plans for code, testing, releases (OFS & OFED), interoperability, Logo • What should the Alliance as a whole be doing next?

Review of the Alliance • Mutual Benefit Corporation – non-profit owned by members, for their mutual benefit, founded June 2004 • Bylaws govern behavior and procedures, all volunteer, over and above day jobs, leave organization’s persona at the door • Officers – Chair, Jim Ryan; Vice-Chair, Bill Boas; Treasurer and Secretary, Johann George • Working Groups – Chairs and Vice Chairs • Executive (XWG) Officers + WG Chairs/Vice Chairs • Legal (LWG) – Dave Ford, Chet Mehta • Development – Bob Woodruff, TBD • Enterprise – Jamie Riotto, TBD • Interoperability – Tuan Phamdo, TBD • Marketing – Thad Omura, TBD • End User incl. Goals of Sonoma 2007 • Renew and Improve Communication amongst us, learn from the Customer community we serve, introduce new members • End users tell us how we are doing so far with OFED1.1 • Thoroughly Review Status of OFED 1.2 • Learn what the Linux Distros and Microsoft think and what we need to change to make including OFED easier • Learn what Tier 1 and 2 OEM are doing and what we can do to help their adoption of OFED • Learn what IB and RDMA_E companies are doing and what we can do to help their further adoption of OFED • Discuss what Enterprise end user customers need to know and what service/support is necessary to have confidence adopting OFED • Evaluate and suggest improvements to Alliance operations – membership, promotion, development,…
